Camp - What to Bring!

Please send the following items with your child on the first day of camp:

• Bug Spray - labeled
• Sunscreen - labeled
• Extra set of clothes (include underwear and socks) - labeled
• Cot Sheet (*aka 'Happy Nappy') for 3K, 4K.
  Kindergartners who choose to nap should bring one also. 

If your child is staying for lunch (at noon each day), please pack a lunch and drink. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided at camp.

Exploration + Our 5 Senses

Week 1 - June 1 - 5- Exploration + Our Five Senses

Children will use all 5 senses this week in play and activities using Gingerbread playdough, erupting playdough and visits from Magic Mr. Nick and Chef Buchanan.

June 1     Gingerbread Man Hunt

• 9:15 - 10:00     3K
• 9:30 - 10:15     4K1
• 9:45 - 10:30     4K2
• 10:00 - 10:45   K1
• 10:15 - 11:00   K2

The Gingerbread Man will lead the children on a wild goose-chase throughout the school, where students will visit our front office, Principal, Vice Principal, Computer Lab, new gym, church, play grounds and classrooms. 

Gingerbread playdough will be available to all children as they arrive and introduction to classrooms, teachers and other students will be a central theme!

June 2      Erupting Play Dough

Children use food coloring, baking soda, baby lotion and vinegar to create a fizzing sensation! Pictures and video from last years' experiment are available online at http://hrlrsc.blogspot.com/ 

In the afternoon, Magic Mr. Nick will astonish us with his amazing magic tricks!

June 3     Water Wednesday

Please send your child in a swimsuit with a towel and change of clothes!! Please label all items!!

June 4      Show and Tell! 

Encourage your child to bring something that allows us to learn more about them - their hobbies, interests, loves!! It should be something that would fit in a backpack.

June 5      Chef Buchanan

June Buchanan's (rising Kindergartner) father Chef Jordan Buchanan visits bringing fruits and veggies to taste and critique. This will be an afternoon activity.
